Child Spirits David and Patsy And Why They Did Not Cross Over
Sometime in the early 1930s siblings David and Patsy (around the age of 6 & 4) lived on a farm around Alpena, Michigan. As a Christmas gift they had each received a pair of ice skates and like most children were eager to try out their new presents. Their parents had instructed the children to allow the adults time to finish chores and then later that day, they would take the kids to the river so they could ice skate.
The children became impatient waiting and decided to trek out to the river and start skating without their folks. Sadly, the ice was thin and both David and Patsy fell through the ice. The children described their experience as getting wet and did not know they had drowned as is often the case with unexpected death. They both became sacred and ran home as spirits to inform their folks of their disobedient mishap. Seeing their parents they tried to communicate: shouting, waving their arms, pushing but to no avail. The parents were unaware as they could not hear or see the childrens' spirits.
When the parents realized David and Patsy were missing a frantic search began only to end at the rivers edge where the hole in the ice and their boots remained. The children spirits witnessed their parent's panic and anguish as the reality of the drowning had set in. The situation increased in sadness when the grandmother who lived near the city of Tawas was notified and showed up at the home to mourn and view the tiny drowned bodies.
How many times the parents had wished they had not bought those skates, regretted not being there to rescue their kids, wishing to relive those moments and right the wrongs... fix the mistakes. The anguish of losing a child lasts a lifetime and the passing of each parent, they immediately crossed over to see their lost son and daughter.
The children, knowing they had disobeyed their parents and thinking that children who misbehave are not welcomed into Heaven... they hid from the sight of the parent spirits when they passed. So, David and Patsy have remained earth-bound because they were scared and because they did not know what to do... Fear and Confusion!
Recently David and Patsy were brought to Jo to assist with crossing. As they told the story above, Jo realized the importance of communicating to spirits which is something we all can do... even if you cannot see them. In her next blog, Jo will provide you with a method of helping spirits cross.
